FISH Toronto 2010

Toronto's first official FISH event (phew, say that 5 times fast!) was conveniently held on Hallowe'en weekend which made for some especially exciting (and at times, gruesome) team costumes. The fifteen teams from in and around the GTA all fought an excellent battle for the coveted FISH trophy.

Highlights

The most memorable moments of the day:
Team Batman bravely entering a children's dance school so as to have their Thriller dance recorded with many tiny extras (and scoring the award for the most extras in such a video).
Tony the Tiger giving a Frosted Flakes cereal box to a bouncer when asked for ID. The bouncer struggled to find a birthdate.
The grand entrance of the Mimes and their impressive ability to stay in character for much of the night
So many fabulous videos of fish flapping in Dundas Square
The O-FISH-als finding an Elvis lighter from a finger-less man named Byron who then joined in for a Thriller dance show.
The Firemen singing a beautiful accappella version of Twinkle-Twinkle to a pub packed with people and receiving a huge applause.
The Amazing Race team's public washroom visit complete with flush.
The Japanese tourists' worst performance of the day at the band check point.
The Fish Heads interrupting a soccer game full of young handsome men.
The Tummy Gems for an amazing/entertaining rendition of Beat It and finding a massive wedding party with which to pose.
The Gnomes for their extremely creative garden poses and their enthusiastic phone calls to the FISH masters.
